St. Michael's StaffClergyRev. Fr. Peter-Michael Preble, Pastor
Fr. Peter was appointed as the 16th Pastor of St. Michael’s Romanian Orthodox Church on July 5, 2004 by His Eminence Archbishop Nicolae of the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese. A 2004 Graduate of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, he was ordained to the Diaconate on July 2, 2004 and the Priesthood on July 4, 2004 at Ss. Constantine and Helen Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois.
Prior to seminary, Father was a teacher in the School System of the Archdiocese of Boston where he taught middle school age in several schools in the system. As an educator, Fr. Peter continues with Adult Religious Education programs in the parish as well as being an Adjunct Professor of Humanities at Quincy College in Quincy, Massachusetts.
Along with his pastoral responsibilities, father serves on the Board of Directors at the Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester, The Southbridge Historical Commission, and Wing Chaplain for the Massachusetts Wing, Civil Air Patrol, and well as the Chaplain for the Dudley Fire Department in Dudley, Massachusetts. Father is also an emergency responder with the International Orthodox Christian Charities and was dispatched to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. In January of 2006 father was appointed the Orthodox Chaplain at Harvard University working with Orthodox Christian Fellowship.

Mr. Vasile Muresan, Cantor
Mr. Vasile Muresan has been our cantor since February 2006. He is a graduate of the Romanian Orthodox Ecclesiastical Seminary of Cluj-Napoca and continued the ecclesiastical path in theology becoming a Licentiate in Theology at the Orthodox Theological Faculty of Cluj-Napoca in 2003. He received a Master of Theology in 2004 and wrote a dissertation based on Synchronic and Diachronic Studies of the Universal Church.
At the Costas Consultation in Global Mission workshop, held in 2005 at Harvard Divinity School Mr. Muresan presented a paper entitled "Mission for America: What does the Romanian Orthodox Church teach in Romania?" hosted by the International Mission and Ecumenism Committee of the Boston Theological Institute. Starting in September 2006, Mr. Muresan will pursue further studies in Church History leading to the Master of Sacred Theology Degree at the Boston University School of Theology.
